A little Bit About Your Photographer...

Hey There, I'm Jess!

You can call me Jess, Jessie, Jessica or just ‘Oi, Photographer!’

That’s me up there in the photograph, on the very rare occasion of being on the other side of the camera.  I much prefer being behind the camera, working my magic to capture amazing photographs for you to cherish forever.

So, let me tell you a little bit about myself, as I think it is important we get to know each other, considering I will be around on one of the most important days of your life – your wedding day!

I have been working as a photographer since 2010, learning and developing my skills, techniques and style. Combining this time with also teaching photography, passing my knowledge across to my students.

I have had the privilege of being the photographer at 100’s of weddings, across the country.  Every single one is unique and perfect in it’s own way and I love that I get to capture that.

My approach to wedding photography is first of all; really listen, to get a good understanding of what you want from your wedding day.  I’m also really nosey and want to know how you got to the wedding day, from how you met, to first date, to when you knew they were the one!  All of this will help me understand how I can then tell your Love Story through my photography.

A few things about me…
I love dogs!  I am lucky to be the human for Bruce & Bayden – if dogs are ever bought up in conversation, I most definitely will be showing you photos of my boys.
Nothing can beat a good sunrise whilst out camping – we did a summer of wild camping last year and it was glorious!
My favourite band ever is Hanson – ‘Mmm bop’ is always a must to play in the car on the way to a photography job.
Photographing weddings is a passion of mine, but I also love to photograph many other things, Skateboard photography is something I always love to be involved in and have photographed skateboarding in a range of countries.

I am so looking forward to hearing about your wedding, or if you came here looking for another type of photography job then let’s have a chat and collaborate.

What is the anchor all about?

Let me tell you a little bit about the logo…
the concept for it came up by playing around with ideas of how the ‘J’ and ‘B’ of my name worked together.
After a few drawings we realised that they resembled the shape of an anchor.

After a bit of research into what an anchor represents, we knew it was the perfect symbol to show what Jessie B Photography stands for:

Good Luck,
Strong bond,
Safety and Security

All the things that I will offer in my photography and all the things needed for a wonderful marriage – the perfect match.

Above the anchor is an aperture ring for the connection back to the photography.
